Every Child Deserves to Reach Their Potential
Like many developing countries, Mexico has struggled to provide for the educational needs of children with disabilities. In Rocky Point, a lack of comprehensive professional support for children with special needs has left many young people without the critical resources they need to reach their potential and thrive.
We believe that every child should have the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential, regardless of their strengths and challenges. By supporting Educarte you can help us ensure that all young people in this community receive the professional support they need to thrive and participate fully in life.

About our C.A.T.I Clinic
In January of 2016 we launched a program called ‘Centro de Atencion y Terapia Infantil’ (C.A.T.I.) which translates to ‘Center for Attention and Therapies for Children.’ Our team of therapists, special educators and other professionals helps young people overcome obstacles to independence and reach their potential.
Types of ongoing support provided at C.A.T.I. include:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Psychological Support
‘Mi Escuelita’
In Rocky Point most children with special needs are not accepted at local public schools and the one local government school able to serve them can only accept a small number of students. Tragically, this leaves many disabled young people spending their days at home isolated from their peers and without the opportunity to learn important academic and life skills. We launched ‘Mi Escuelita’ in March of 2023 to give more young people with special needs the opportunity to attend school and develop to their full potential, regardless of their strengths and challenges.
